Attend Back to School Night 

Meet your teacher and other parents in your class at the Back to School Night on August 26th, 2025!  The times are as follows:

TK - 2nd grade from 5pm to 6pm, 3rd - 5th grade from 6pm to 7pm.

WISE Welcome Coffee/Meeting

Meet the W.I.S.E. (parent council) board and find out how to get involved!  Plan to stay after drop-off on the first day of school, August 20th, 2025 at 8:15am in the Library.

Make your CLASS EXPENSE FUND payment

Due by September 30th, this fund goes towards purchasing classroom supplies, updating classroom emergency preparedness kits, as well as, holiday gifts for the teachers and staff.

Pledge your ANNUAL FUND donation

Westie's Annual Giving (WAG) is our annual fundraising drive to supplement the funds received from LAUSD.  It pays for a Teaching Assistant in every classroom, enrichment classes, tech classes, extra janitorial hours, classroom materials, and an extra teacher to reduce the student-to-teacher ratio in grades 4/5.

Apply to be a volunteer

In order to be an on-campus volunteer or chaperone on field trips, you must be approved by the district.  It generally takes 3-4 weeks to get approval, as the district handles a large number of volunteer applications. Submit your application so you don't miss out on the fun!

Get Involved

Whether you have a little bit of time to give or a lot, we're always looking for volunteers!  If you have a special skills set, please let us know!  Get to know other parents, the teachers, and the school better in the process.  Attend a W.I.S.E. (parent council) meeting, a School-Based Management meeting, or email Wise@WestwoodCharter.com and we can help find the best fit for you based on your time and skills.
